We're looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable Lactation Consultant PRN to join our team If you're passionate about supporting mothers and babies apply today Entity Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) Worker Type Employee Worker Sub-Type PRN Cost Center CC003597 FLO - Obstetrics (FMC) Pay Rate Type Hourly Pay Grade Health-29 Scheduled Weekly Hours 8 Work Shift Job Description Responsible for identifying and correcting lactation problems. Responsible for leading breastfeeding classes for expecting mothers.
Advises physicians and healthcare providers on lactation problems experienced by patients. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor and/or manager. Provides all staff education to meet the requirements for baby friendly designation. The Lactation Consultant utilizes evidenced based knowledge to promote breastfeeding and to support breastfeeding families.
