Manager, Engineering - Delivery Experience Backend Team Location: About the job: Are you excited about making a big impact in the e-commerce logistics sector? Allegro's Delivery Experience area is searching for a dynamic Engineering Manager to lead our backend team. You will be leading an existing team of 4 people, including backend engineers and testers. Strategic Transformation: Lead the evolution of a critical integration platform, including the migration of selected services from. NET/Azure to Allegro's strategic JVM and GCP stack. Your team's services are the foundational layer for our carrier platform strategy, significantly reducing cross-team dependencies and drastically cutting down carrier onboarding time.
Innovative Integrations: Manage and develop key APIs for our delivery network, enabling external partners to seamlessly integrate with our infrastructure (such as our parcel lockers). You will also oversee hybrid integrations that connect multiple carriers, shaping the future of our delivery ecosystem. Business & Tech Synergy:
Play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business and technology.
You will translate complex business expectations into technical solutions and confidently represent Allegro in technical discussions with external partners. Planning and executing the strategic migration of microservices from. NET to JVM/Kotlin/GCP without disrupting ongoing operations. Managing, mentoring, and supporting a focused backend engineering team, guiding them smoothly through a major technology stack transition.
