Chosen candidates will serve as MUSC Health - Pee Dee Division's GME Core Faculty and will play an integral role in growing and shaping the new Internal Medicine Residency Program at MUSC Health - Florence Medical Center.

Core Faculty will report to the Residency Program Director and directly impact the organization, implementation, and continued improvement of the new training program. As a foundational element of graduate medical education, Core Faculty will foster the growth and development of residents in the practice-based learning environment, ensuring that graduates are prepared to deliver the highest quality of care to patients in the communities they serve.
The new Core Faculty Physician will
- Split time between educational, administrative, and clinical care
- Serve as a role model, mentor, and advisor to residents in the program
- Participate in the selection, orientation, and evaluation of residents
- Contribute to the development of program curriculum and evalu
