Overview

As Senior Instrumentation and Electrical Packaging Engineer, you will lead the design, packaging, and technical compliance of electrical and instrumentation systems for key projects, collaborating with Procurement, Manufacturing, and external suppliers. You’ll drive quality, manufacturability, and execution efficiency while addressing NCRs and change requirements. You will contribute to packaging strategies, standards alignment, and supplier qualification to enable successful, safe project delivery. This role sits at the heart of Baker Hughes’ energy-technology initiatives, supporting the energy transition and decarbonization efforts.

Responsabilità

- Lead instrumentation and electrical engineering activities for critical projects, ensuring compliance with standards and customer requirements
- Design and review electrical/instrumentation systems, documents, and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate packaging strategies with Procurement and Manufacturing; drive collaboration and process improvements
- Own NCR resolution and closure of Oracle Punch Points; identify root causes and implement improvements
- Support Early Engagement and weekly OTD predictability assessments with technical guidance
- Ensure lessons learned and corrective actions are embedded in standards, tools, and practices




- Oversee long-term quality improvements to reduce NCRs and Punch Points in line with KPIs
- Assist in supplier qualification and oversight for packaging activities
- Manage engineering changes through lifecycle and ensure compliance with change processes
- Foster cross-functional, effective communication and strategic supplier integration

Requisiti fondamentali

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical, electronic, or automation engineering (or equivalent)
- Significant instrumentation engineering experience in industrial/energy/process/manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation design processes, standards, and codes
- Experience collaborating with Manufacturing, Procurement, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
- Understanding of electrical/instrumentation installation practices, cable routing, and equipment integration
- Ability to manage engineering changes and lifecycle processes
- Experience with engineering lifecycle tools, ERP/PLM environments (e.g., Oracle, PLM)
- Familiarity with NCRs, Oracle Punch Point, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
- Experience with 3D modeling tools (Siemens NX, AutoCAD)
- Strong oral/written English communication; collaborative and results-driven
