Glass Process Specialist

BDF Industries S.p.A. is seeking a candidate to join its Melting Division to handle the start-up and management of furnace system projects .

The ideal candidate possesses solid experience in the glass industry, a good understanding of safety and quality regulations, and excellent organizational and communication skills. The selected individual will be responsible for the following :
- Start-up and on-site optimization of furnace and forehearth systems during commissioning
- On-site system consulting and optimization using technical instrumentation provided by BDF
- Supervision of melting product installation
- Assistance with the design of melting plants
- Assistance in preparing technical documentation for clients
- Assistance with melting service planning
- Project management for melting projects
- Technical consulting for remote customer support




- Troubleshooting issues related to product quality, furnace consumption, and operational stability
- Technical support for the sales team regarding proposal preparation and client visits

The ideal candidate has the following requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in similar roles within the process industry and/or glass manufacturing sector;
- In-depth knowledge of plants, machinery, and metalworking equipment, as well as relevant safety and quality regulations;
- Proficiency in using key software tools (Office, CAD, etc.);
- Ability to work in a team, communicate effectively, and solve problems;
- Schedule flexibility;
- Willingness to travel.
