pJob ID: | Amazon.com Services LLC /p pWe are looking for a Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of our power and motion control systems for our robotic systems. This role is an opportunity to lead the long-term architecture of our robotics platform and help build the technical foundation for robots and humans working together. /p h3Key job responsibilities /h3 ul liLead the design, layout, and validation of PCBs for power distribution, motor drivers, embedded systems, and sensor integration /li liArchitect and optimize power distribution and battery system to support a robot with high-performance actuators and real-time compute workloads /li liDevelop and refine our lithium-ion battery system /li liDevelop high-efficiency system power architecture and power monitoring circuitry to support our robotics platform /li liEnsure EMI/EMC compliance, signal integrity, and thermal design best practices for high-reliability electronics in a compact mobile system /li liCollaborate with firmware engineers on real-time control strategies for smooth, compliant motion /li liWork with mechanical engineers to integrate thermal management solutions for batteries, high-power electronics, and motors /li liDefine the electrical architecture for real-time control, networking, and system diagnostics, ensuring high-speed, low-latency communication between actuators, sensors, and compute nodes /li liSupport bring-up, debugging, and testing of prototype robots, working closely with firmware and mechanical teams /li liWork with vendors and contract manufacturers to source high-quality components and oversee the production of key electronics subsystems /li liMentor junior engineers, drive design reviews, and define electrical engineering best practices /li /ul h3About the team /h3 pFauna Robotics, an Amazon company, is building capable, safe, and genuinely delightful robots for everyday life. It's an opportunity to solve hard problems across hardware and software with a team focused on making robotics accessible and joyful to build. /p pIf you care about making robotics real for everyone and building systems that are as delightful as they are capable, we're interested in hearing from you. /p h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul li5+ years of electrical theory, robotics, controls components, and automated equipment experience /li li4+ years of motor controls (motor starts, variable frequency drives, DC drives, and standard electrical components) experience /li liExperience developing products for large volume production /li liExperience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization /li liStrong PCB design and layout skills (Altium, KiCad, or similar) with an understanding of high-power circuits, signal integrity, and thermal constraints /li liExperience with lithium-ion battery systems, BMS hardware/software,
