Your Mission
As part of the development of our activities in Italy, we are looking for an M&A; Analyst for our Milan office. Reporting to the M&A; Associate, you will support the collection, consolidation, and analysis of financial data and information related to M&A; transactions, both greenfield and brownfield. You will contribute to the strategic and economic recommendations used to evaluate acquisition and partnership opportunities, in close contact with the business teams in Italy and across Europe.
A few examples of your responsibilities:
- Build and update financial models of project cash flows, and run sensitivity and scenario analyses.
- Support due diligence activities, coordinating with advisors and internal teams (technical, legal, finance).
- Carry out preliminary studies and market analysis on target companies, assets,
and segments of the energy sector.
- Prepare presentations and materials for investment committees, under the supervision of the team.
- Maintain the pipeline of opportunities and the databases used by the M&A; team.
- Support the team in the selection and coordination of advisors and partners involved in transactions.
- Share models, tools, and best practices with the European M&A; and finance teams.
What we look for
- Degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field (Business School or University).
- 1 to 2 years of experience in Transaction Services, investment banking, M&A;, corporate finance, or private equity, including internships of significant duration.
- Solid financial modeling skills and excellent command of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, synthesis, and writing skills.
- Interest in the energy sector and the energy transition (prior exposure to renewables is a plus).
- Reasoning ability. You think from first principles, structure your ideas sharply, and take care of the details that matter.
- Drive. You're ambitious, and your initiative, effort, and tenacity match your ambition. You feel responsible for your work and hold yourself to a high, rising bar.
- Team spirit and autonomy. You support the best idea, not your idea, and you're happy to get your hands dirty to help your team. You're reliable, honest, and transparent.
- Fluent Italian and English; proficiency in French is appreciated.
