Distinguishing Features of the Class:
This position is responsible for providing computer-related support including installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of personal computers, peripherals, and applications software. Incumbents provide training on basic computer usage and applications software to the internal staff. While maintaining core IT systems, the primary operational focus of this specific role is the deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of advanced audio/visual (AV) systems,



auditorium multimedia, and integrated technologies. A Technical Support Specialist does related work as required.

The successful candidate will work directly with customers to identify operational and maintenance needs, evaluate technical requirements, and develop practical, cost-effective installation solutions. Responsibilities include troubleshooting existing systems, recommending upgrades or improvements, coordinating implementations, and providing customer education and training to ensure effective and efficient use of installed technologies. Strong communication skills and the ability to translate customer requirements into viable technical solutions are essential.
