You will work in a multidisciplinary RD environment, combining mechanical design, engineering simulations, prototyping and testing activities. You will also have the opportunity to leverage digital engineering methodologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to accelerate product development, improve engineering efficiency and support technical decision-making. /p pThe work model for the role is: Hybrid /p pThis role is contributing to the Smart Buildings business in Vittuone (Milan). /p h3You Will Be Mainly Accountable For /h3 ul liContributing to the development and evolution of ABB's RCBO platform, supporting projects from concept definition through product validation. /li liDesigning innovative electromechanical solutions for next-generation protection devices, from concept development and 3D CAD modelling to simulation, prototyping, testing and product validation. /li liCreating and maintaining 3D CAD models, assemblies and technical documentation using CATIA V5 and Creo. /li liPerforming engineering studies and simulations to optimize product performance, robustness, reliability and manufacturability. /li liSupporting prototype assembly, laboratory testing and validation activities in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. /li liApplying digital engineering methodologies and exploring AI-powered tools to improve product development processes and engineering productivity.
/li liCollaborating with Mechanical, Electrical, Testing, Manufacturing and Quality teams to deliver innovative and competitive solutions. /li liIdentifying technical risks and supporting project objectives related to quality, cost and timing. /li liStaying up to date with emerging technologies, engineering methods and industry trends. /li /ul h3Qualifications For The Role /h3 ul liMaster's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Engineering qualification. /li liGood knowledge of mechanical design principles and product development processes. /li liExperience with 3D CAD design tools; knowledge of CATIA V5 and/or Creo is highly appreciated. /li liBasic knowledge of engineering simulation tools and methods, including structural, thermal or multiphysics analysis. /li liInterest in Artificial Intelligence applications for engineering, simulation and product development. /li liKnowledge of MATLAB is considered a plus. /li liKnowledge of SAP and PLM/PDM environments is considered a plus. /li liProficiency in Microsoft Office tools. /li liYou are at ease communicating fluently in Italian and English. /li /ul h3Compensation Package /h3 pAs part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position: /p pApplicable CBA: Metalmeccanico /p pMinimum annual salary: € ****** /p pVariable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity Premio /p pThe offer will be tailored based on your role location, experience, skills and qualifications, internal market positioning and alignment with ABB internal standards. /p pCostruire un futuro più pulito e intelligente richiede ogni tipo di mente: i curiosi, i coraggiosi e i creativi.
