We are looking for a Communication Assistant to join the EFSA Digital eXperience &, Discovery team (Communication Unit) to support the Scientific Output Publication process.

Responsabilit The interim will: Support the daily publishing workflow of scientific publications, ensuring the seamless execution of the scientific publishing process and liaising between authors and the publisher, Contribute to small-scale projects, which may include coordination and negotiation with several internal and external stakeholders, Support the organisation of meetings of the Editorial Advisory Board, drafting agendas, taking minutes and following up on action points, Provide administrative support, such as handling invoices, monitoring budgets, and maintaining accurate records, Monitor communication channels to ensure clear, timely, and effective information exchange.
Functie-eisen Requirements:
Excellent knowledge of English (at least C1 level), At least 1 year of relevant working experience in communication departments within international organisations, Experience in and knowledge of communication principles, internal communication, editorial standards, Experience with scientific publishing and AI would be an asset, Proficiency in IT tools (e.g. MS Office software).
Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro, ScholarOne, Copyright Clearance Center will be considered an asset, Behavioural competencies: working with others, analysis and problem solving, attention to detail, time management, priority setting and planning, customer focus, resilience and composure.
Assignment: initial contract of 3/4 months, with possibility of extension.
Expected duration of assignment: 12 months.
Salary: approx.
€ ****,00 per month before taxes.
Work modalities: office work is required on at least 2 days per week.
Remote work is possible within 2 hours from EFSA's premises in Parma, Italy, for the remaining days.
