We are looking for an Engineering Supervisor who can contribute to the growth of the company in the wiring department.
/p pThe Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for: /p ulliManage the department personnel during their design activities.
/liliEnsuring that specifications and deadlines are met.
/liliIdentifying potential inefficiencies and suggesting possible improvements.
/liliImplementing the procedures applicable to the Department.
/liliParticipating in the process of selecting and on?boarding new coworkers.
/liliControl and monitor the loading and flow of the work in the Design Engineering Department.
/liliEnsure appropriate checks are carried out on all designs prior to final release to customers or production.
/liliEnsure that the department works within the guidelines of the company quality procedures.
/liliLiaise with customers and all other departments providing technical assistance and advice required.
/liliIdentify appropriate KPI's for the department and individuals.
/liliWork efficiently and conscientiously with all personnel and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
/liliIdentify the training needs of the staff and make recommendations for appropriate training/development.
/liliProvide effective engineering material science support into both the design and engineering function and the production process environments.
/liliAny other reasonable engineering activity or investigation or design request.
/liliBecome familiar with the detailed procedures associated with design processes outlined in the company procedures.
/liliBack up any information that is on any local drives and ensure that any project and business data is stored on an appropriate central server.
/liliRecord and keep all relevant emails (sent or received) in a file structure that can be easily understood by a third party.
/liliCheck in and record any drawing/part data in the appropriate system and maintain the use of the correct part numbering systems.
/liliUse any change control system that is appropriate to the work.
/liliMaintain both design and draft standards to any appropriate national or international system and always work within the company's approvals as appropriate.
/liliAll the time strive to maintain a current knowledge of all relevant engineering technologies application and manufacturing process pertinent to all the product range.
/liliStrive to identify, and report on, any value-added improvement to the design and production processes.
/liliLiaise with and provide support to all manufacturing departments, including the shop floor, in the implementation and commissioning of any product.
This shall include direct assembly commissioning and or test / inspection work as required and the provision of jig tools and fixtures.
/liliAttend as directed any appropriate vocational training, trade shows or other public events.
/liliDirectly support the sales, purchasing or operations staff, as required, in their relations with customers and or suppliers.
(this may include occasional travel).
/li /ul pbTraining, experience and skills /b /p ulliTechnical bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
/lili15 years of experience in a relevant engineering environment.
/lili5 years' experience in a supervisory or management role.
/liliExcellence in the use of personal computer and MS Office.
/liliAbility to draft reports and technical documents.
/liliExcellent knowledge of SolidWorks.
/liliExcellent communication skills.
/liliAbility to manage technical projects for product improvement and development of new products.
/liliKnowledge of the English language at C1 level minimum.
