/p pWe are currently seeking a bLaboratory Supervisor /b to join our dynamic team in bPiove di Sacco (PD), Italy!
/b /p pThe Laboratory Supervisor manages a team of 6 test technicians and coordinates all laboratory operations across two core activities: bfactory witness testing /b — where customers are hosted on-site to verify performance and functionalities of purchased products — and bproduct development testing /b.
The role requires the ability to operate across two very different modes: managing witness testing with a production-oriented mindset (planning, scheduling, throughput) and supporting product development with a test-engineering approach.
Today's workload ratio is approximately ***** in favour of witness testing.
/p h3What kind of work will you be doing?
/h3 pFactory Witness Testing /p ul liPlans and schedules the witness test backlog, managing capacity of 6 technicians to meet committed delivery dates /li liCoordinates with Sales/Commercial teams to align customer visit schedules with lab availability /li liEnsures test setups are prepared on time and executed according to standardized procedures /li liMonitors throughput and turnaround times; identifies and resolves bottlenecks to maintain production-line efficiency /li liOwns test reporting and documentation delivered to customers /li /ul pProduct Development Testing /p ul liPlans and tracks laboratory tests supporting RD projects /li liCollaborates with Engineering to define test requirements, feasibility, and priorities /li liOversees test execution, data quality, and reporting from technicians /li liParticipates in product testing at designated external laboratories when required /li /ul pGeneral / Continuous Improvement /p ul liManages daily allocation and coordination of 6 laboratory technicians across both workstreams /li liDrives standardization of test procedures and introduction of new methods /li liImplements and monitors maintenance and calibration plans for facilities and instruments /li liWorks with the Lab Manager to improve safety, efficiency, and facility conditions /li /ul h3What will make you successful?
/h3 ul libMaster's degree /bin mechanical engineering or similar (e.g., thermodynamics or energetics) or equivalent long-term experience in a similar role /li libAt least 4 years /bin a supervisory role managing teams in a test/production environment with schedule-driven deliverables /li liProven ability to manage workload planning and resource allocation for a team (6+ people) /li liExperience in customer-facing technical environments (e.g., witness testing, FAT, commissioning, or technical demonstrations) /li liProblem-solving skills and ability to adapt to shifting priorities without compromising delivery commitments /li liKnowledge of instrumentation, measurement techniques,
