/ppWe are seeking a bHardware System Engineer /b to support the development of complex electronic systems within the Defence sector.
The role is responsible for ensuring the full bhardware system engineering flow /b, with a focus on requirements definition, subsystem architecture, interface specification and the development of the Technical Data Package for assigned projects.
/ppThe position operates within a highly technical, multidisciplinary environment and requires close collaboration with internal engineering teams, specialist departments and external partners at national and international level.
/ph3What You'll Do (and why it's exciting) /h3ulliEnsuring and maintaining the bhardware system engineering workflow /b, specifically for hardware specification activities.
/liliActing as the bAccountable Owner /b for the development of the bTechnical Data Package /b related to hardware development within the assigned project.
/liliPerforming bsystem requirements analysis /b, developing hardware subsystem requirements and architectures, and allocating requirements to hardware units.
/liliDefining binterface requirements /b between hardware subsystems and hardware units.
/liliDeveloping detailed hardware unit requirements for specialist hardware engineering teams.
/liliParticipating in bdesign teams /b, promoting a concurrent engineering approach throughout the project lifecycle.
/liliCoordinating external resources (research institutes, universities, specialized companies both in Italy and abroad),
defining the bscope of supply /b and ensuring technical and schedule compliance.
/liliMonitoring bhardware engineering process indicators /b related to hardware specification activities.
/liliUsing brequirements management tools /b and bmodel-based system engineering (MBSE) /b methodologies.
/li /ulh3Who We're Looking For /h3ulliMaster's degree in Engineering (Electronics, Telecommunications or similar).
/lili4+ years of experience working with complex systems (automotive, avionics, railway also welcome).
/liliStrong Italian and English skills.
/liliCuriosity, drive, and a genuine desire to learn.
/li /ulh3Core Skills /h3ulliSpecific experience in banalog and digital electronics development /b, and in the design of complex hardware systems, preferably within the bDefence sector /b.
/liliSolid background in bsystem engineering /b.
/liliKnowledge of bMIL standards /b for military equipment design, industrial best-practice standards and bIEC regulations /b.
/liliUnderstanding of technologies and processes associated with hardware development, aligned with bdesign-to-cost /b, btime-to-market /b and industrialization objectives.
/liliAbility to manage and investigate activities requiring bcross-disciplinary knowledge /b.
/liliStrong predisposition for bhardware development project management /b, including detailed planning.
/liliknowledge of brequirements capture tools /b and architectural definition methodologies.
Strong bteam working /b, communication and bproblem-solving /b skills.
/liliExperience with international defence standards.
/liliFamiliarity with MBSE tools (SysML, Cameo, Capella).
