Postdoc In Molecular Cell Biology

01 ott - Milano
Human Technopole

pbBuild the science that shapes the future of human health.
/b /p pbApplication closing date: October 8th, **** /b /p pbJoin a place where ambitious science thrives /b /p pHuman Technopole (Milan) is a rapidly expanding life science institute where international researchers and cutting-edge technologies converge to accelerate biomedical discovery.
Our mission is to transform bold scientific ideas into advances that improve human health.
/p pWithin this mission, the LaJoie lab, as part of the Molecular Cell Research Centre, studies how proteins of the nuclear envelope function to promote human health.
By doing so, we can understand how their dysregulation results in diseases such as muscular dystrophy and cardiomyopathy.
With the combination of specialized resources and expertise at Human Technopole, we are uniquely able to address these questions and the molecular and cellular level.
/p h3Your mission /h3 pThe LaJoie Group seeks a Postdoc to identify novel protein-protein interactions using in situ crosslinking mass spectrometry, characterize disease-relevant protein mutations biochemically, and perform protein perturbation experiments in cells to understand molecular pathways of diseases of the nuclear envelope.
The position is suited for candidates from the fields of biochemistry, cell biology, and proteomics, who are interested in integrating diverse methodologies in a highly collaborative environment.
/p h3Grow Your Skills /h3 pYou will enhance your scientific skills and professional skills in a research environment that spans multiple disciplines and specialized methodologies uniquely possible at Human Technopole.
The role therefore provides the opportunity to integrate advanced techniques in cell biology (e.g. cellular perturbation approaches, light microscopy), biochemistry (e.g. single molecule studies), structural proteomics (e.g.

crosslinking mass spectrometry), and the possibility to work with disease-relevant cellular model systems (e.g. iPSCs).
Through mentorship and collaboration, you will strengthen your ability to formulate meaningful biological questions, design and test hypotheses, integrate diverse experimental data, and translate experimental findings into mechanistic and clinically relevant insight.
/p pHuman Technopole supports career development through training, mentoring and dedicated learning opportunities.
/p h3Key Tasks And Responsibilities /h3 ul liConduct innovative research activities and develop tailored methods and tools to support project objectives, ensuring accurate documentation of all research processes and findings.
/li liGenerate, analyze, and maintain high-quality experimental data to support scientific publications, grant applications, and research reporting.
/li liContribute to the preparation of manuscripts, figures, and scientific communications for publication in peer-reviewed journals and presentation at conferences and seminars.
/li liMentor students and junior staff by providing technical guidance, training, and support in experimental procedures and data acquisition activities.
/li liCollaborate closely with internal teams, external experts, and research leaders to design research plans, manage experiments, and promote scientific knowledge exchange and project development.

/li /ul h3Job Requirements /h3 h3Essential requirements /h3 ul liPh.D.
for which the thesis project was in biochemistry, molecular cell biology (or wet lab approaches applicable to molecular cell biology), proteomics, or a related topic /li liProven ability to lead projects independently.
/li liExperience analysing biological datasets.
/li liExperience in interdisciplinary settings, with a collaborative approach to advancing projects.
/li liAbility to write publications, present findings, and effectively communicate research to diverse audiences, including peers from different disciplines.
/li liFluency in English (HT is an international research institute).
/li /ul h3Preferred Requirements /h3 ul liExperience working with mammalian cell culture /li liLight microscopy experience /li /ul h3Organisational and social skills /h3 ul liSensitivity and respect for diversity in a multicultural and multi-ethnic work environment.
/li liIntellectual curiosity, creativity, and ambition to explore biological questions /li liStrong analytical skills.
/li /ul pbAt HT, your discoveries contribute to a global effort to improve human health.
/b /p h3Why Human Technopole /h3 pHT offers an international and dynamic workplace, competitive welfare provisions, flexible working policies and relocation support.
Researchers moving to Italy may agevolazioni from attractive tax benefits.
We promote work-life balance and provide parental support initiatives.
/p pThis is a 4-year contract offered under CCNL Chimico Farmaceutico, Level B2 /p pSalary: up to € ******,00 depending on the candidate' seniority.
/p pThe position is based in Milan, Italy, within our vibrant international campus.
/p pWe strongly encourage applications from candidates belonging to protected categories (L. *****).
