OverviewAs Field Engineering Manager in Milan, you lead a team of pre-sales Solutions Architects and Solutions Engineers to drive revenue through value-focused, collaborative engagement.
You will mentor, scale, and align field engineers with sales and partners, shaping a customer-obsessed culture in a hyper-growth environment.
You communicate complex business value, support large deals, and strengthen strategic partnerships to amplify Databricks' brand and impact.
ResponsabilitàLead and grow the pre-sales team in Italy (Solutions Architects/Engineers)
Partner with sales to drive revenue through value-based approaches
Hire, mentor, and build a collaborative, high-performance culture
Improve ROI of solutions architects' involvement in sales cycles
Promote solution- and value-based selling within the FE organization
Understand account needs and revenue potential in the region
Engage with customer executives to fortify strategic partnerships




Align with partners and internal services on implementation strategies
Strengthen Databricks' brand as part of the regional Leadership Team with Marketing and Sales across the region
Requisiti fondamentaliExperience managing a team of Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS professionals
Experience in consumption-based business environments
Mentoring and scaling technical teams
Proven ability to establish processes for technical field members to improve efficiency and product focus
Ability to collaborate with Sales and cross-functional leaders
Passion for data and AI and ability to articulate value of Databricks solutions
Technical or consulting background in Data Engineering, Database technologies, or Data Science
Strong communication skills; Italian native speaker and fluent in English
