This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Automation Tester with IRS GFE required based in Italy.
As a Senior Automation Tester, you will help ensure the quality, security, and reliability of software supporting an IRS code modernization initiative.

You will translate project requirements into comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automated testing workflows.
The role combines hands-on manual and automated testing with defect management, regression testing, and acceptance testing.
You will work closely with developers and cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle and CI/CD process.
Your expertise will help identify issues early, improve testing efficiency, and maintain consistent software quality standards.
You will also contribute to backend validation involving APIs and databases while helping strengthen testing practices over time.

Accountabilities:
- Analyze project requirements and translate them into clear, comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test scripts.
- Set up and manage test environments to support different testing activities.
- Perform functional, regression, acceptance, and other required software testing.
- Develop and maintain automated tests using frameworks and tools such as Selenium or Cypress.
- Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution in collaboration with development teams.
- Perform backend testing involving APIs and databases, including SQL-based validation where applicable.
- Participate throughout the software development lifecycle and integrate testing activities into CI/CD proc
