Senior Manager, Software Development Engineering leads loyalty-focused engineering across Expedia Group brands. You shape strategy, mentor engineers, and drive cross-brand loyalty initiatives. You partner with Product and Technology to prioritize work, influence architecture, and deliver valuable experiences to travelers. This is a high-impact role that blends technical leadership with people growth to scale platform services and APIs. You will work across teams to create a cohesive, scalable loyalty platform that enhances traveler engagement.

Responsabilità

- Lead, coach, and develop software engineers while fostering an inclusive culture of ownership, learning, and innovation.
- Deliver complex engineering initiatives supporting loyalty experiences and platform capabilities across Expedia Group brands.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to define priorities, align roadmaps, and deliver customer value.
- Communicate progress, dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans to senior leaders and executives.
- Influence architectural decisions and guide scalable, reliable,



and maintainable engineering solutions.
- Build partnerships across teams to deliver loyalty capabilities spanning the traveler journey.
- Help shape an integrated platform and experience organization that enables engineers to work across technologies and domains.
- Provide technical leadership across distributed systems, APIs, and services supporting rewards, benefits, and traveler engagement.

Requisiti fondamentali

- Experience leading software engineering teams in a technology organization.
- Experience developing engineers and future leaders through coaching, feedback, and career support.
- Technical background in software engineering, with experience in backend, platform, web, or mobile technologies.
- Experience delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution.
- Understanding of software architecture, system design, scalability, reliability, and engineering best practices.
- Proficient communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience creating an inclusive environment where people can contribute and do their best work.
