pDescription /p pCIMA Aviation is seeking skilled and motivated technician with a hunger for knowledge and a passion for aviation repair to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a team player with a passion for working with their hands, utilizing various tools, materials, and specialized testing equipment to test and repair aircraft components in accordance with OEM and/or customer specifications. /p pThe technician's responsibilities include testing, troubleshooting, disassembling, and assembling aircraft components. This position requires knowledge of our procedures as they pertain to processes and documentation. On-the-job training and oversight are provided by CIMA management. /p h3Primary Responsibilities /h3 ul liTest, troubleshoot, tear down, and repair aircraft components in accordance with company-provided data (manuals, drawings, procedures, etc.) and company-provided training. /li liMaintain a clean, clutter-free work area. /li liCorrectly, concisely, and legibly complete all company forms and reports as required by management, both written and online. /li liWork with co-workers to achieve goals and objectives set by management. /li liWork with management to develop new processes and procedures as necessary. /li liAssist with basic shop upkeep and maintenance, including routine cleaning of the work area and periodic shop maintenance assignments. /li liCommunicate clearly and effectively with internal and external representatives, including management, customer representatives, FAA inspectors, airline inspectors, and similar (training provided). /li liDemonstrate commitment to company values and ethics. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 h3Experience and Skills /h3 ul liMinimum 2 years of similar or related work experience; relevant experience in aviation, automotive, marine, electronics, or low-voltage electric repair will be considered. /li liMust own a set of basic hand tools.
/li liModerate level of experience and proficiency with general electrical and/or circuit board-level soldering. /li liAbility to follow instructions and work to a written procedure concisely and accurately. /li liMust be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English. /li liAbility to read and thoroughly understand technical drawings, blueprints, manuals, and instructions; a pre-employment technical skills and comprehension test may be required. /li liDetail-oriented, self-motivated, and highly organized. /li liBasic computer experience. /li liPunctual and reliable. /li liValid driver's license. /li liElectrical or mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience; machinist experience a plus. /li /ul h3Education /h3 ul liHigh school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or higher in a related technical field preferred. /li liAP license/certificate not required, but a plus. /li /ul h3Physical Requirements /h3 ul liAbility to lift 50 lbs. /li liConstant hand manipulation of small to medium components /li liSitting or standing for long periods of time /li liFrequent use of hand tools and other repair equipment /li liUse of chemicals for cleaning, lubricating, and painting /li /ul h3Compensation Benefits /h3 ul liHourly position commensurate with experience level, skill level, and/or certifications /li liWe offer medical, dental, vision, life, and other insurance options /li li401(k) with 100% match on first 4% /li liFull-time workers receive paid holidays, vacation, and sick/personal leave accrued on hire date /li /ul h3Additional Information /h3 pThis position is safety-sensitive and requires participation in the FAA DOT Drug Abatement Program.
