pbSeeking a Tempo pieno Patient Account Representative/ Medical Collections Specialist for fully remote work. /b /p h3POSITION SUMMARY: /h3 pThe Insurance Collector is responsible for the full accounts receivable cycle. General duties include verification of benefits, secondary insurance filings, send monthly statement to patients, follow-up on unpaid insurance claims, secondary insurance filings, collection procedures on delinquent accounts, coordinate the resolution of claims, including initiation of appeals and verification of demographic and insurance information, when needed, and assisting the business office as necessary. All claims will be coded with CPT and ICD-10 codes according to the findings in the medical record so the candidate must have a strong working knowledge of coding/billing processes. /p h3EXPERIENCE: /h3 ul liHigh School graduate or equivalent. Medical terminology and coding courses a plus. /li liTwo to four years experience with third party reimbursement, coding and collections. /li liComputer experience required for billing, word-processing and spreadsheet entry. /li /ul h3KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: /h3 ul liAbility to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. /li liAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
