The Team

The Acute Care Stream includes acute mental health services in the South that provide hospital level care in the home environment, community ambulatory acute care services, GP Liaison, and mental health triage. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

The Role

Lead a dedicated multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality acute community mental health services across Southern Tasmania. As Manager of the Acute Care Stream Community Mental Health Service, you will provide strategic leadership, oversee service delivery, manage human,



financial and physical resources, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with consumers, carers, community partners and healthcare professionals, you will play a key role in shaping responsive, recovery-focused mental health services that support positive outcomes for the Tasmanian community.

You will need

• Proven ability to lead, motivate and support multidisciplinary teams in a complex service environment.

• Strong skills in service planning, resource management and operational leadership.

• Experience building productive relationships with stakeholders, community organisations and healthcare partners.

• The ability to lead change, drive innovation and support service improvement initiatives.

• Excellent communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills, with a focus on achieving positive outcomes.
