We are seeking a Project Planning Manager to for leading the planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring functions across construction projects. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with contractual and strategic requirements.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develop, review, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Establish baseline programs in line with project scope, milestones, and contract requirements.
- Define work breakdown structures (WBS) and planning methodologies.
- Monitor project progress and performance against the approved schedule.
- Identify delays, risks, and critical path impacts, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Lead schedule updates, progress measurement, and forecasting.
- Manage the PMC’s planning engineer and project controls team to deliver the employer’s requirements.
- Ensure consistency and standardization of planning practices across projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors.
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly progress reports to senior management and clients.
- Provide dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Support executive-level reporting and decision-making.
- Conduct delay analysis (EOT claims, disruption analysis).
- Support claims preparation and evaluation.
- Identify planning risks and develop contingency plans.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Participate in project meetings and provide planning insights.
- Ensure alignment between construction, procurement, and engineering schedules.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management (master’s degree preferred).
- 10 + years of experience of construction planning and scheduling.
- At
