Role Description The Groups & Events Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based at Sheraton Milan San Siro in Milan. This role coordinates group bookings and events from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up, ensuring smooth communication among guests, sales, catering, and operations teams. Daily tasks include managing event details, preparing proposals and contracts, updating event systems, and overseeing rooming lists and function sheets to ensure accurate logistics.
The coordinator supports site inspections, collaborates with sales to maximize group and event revenue, and provides attentive customer service before, during, and after events.
The role requires close interaction with internal departments to ensure high-quality execution of meetings, conferences, and social events aligned with brand standards.
Qualifications
- Strong Event Planning and Event Management skills to coordinate multiple group and event projects effectively.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with guests and internal teams.
- Proven Customer Service abilities, with a focus on guest satisfaction and professional problem-solving.
- Sales skills to support upselling of services, optimize event revenue, and maintain productive relationships with clients.
- Experience in hotel groups and events, meetings and conferences, or hospitality operations is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site, manage deadlines, and handle fast-paced, detail-sensitive environments.
- Proficiency with office and event management software; familiarity with hotel booking or CRM systems is an advantage.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.
- Relevant education in hospitality, tourism, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Comfort working in an international setting; additional language skills beyond English and Italian are a plus.
