Accountant | Milan | Renewable Energy

I’m currently recruiting for an Accountant to join an exciting and growing business operating within the renewable energy and green technology sector.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who is looking to join a business at an interesting stage of growth, with exposure to both accounting and tax activities and the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation.

? Location: Milan, Italy

? Experience: 4+ years

? Sector: Renewable Energy / Green Technology The Role

You will play a key role within the Finance function, overseeing accounting and tax activities and working closely with external advisors, auditors, banks and internal teams.

Your responsibilities will include

- Supervising and reviewing accounting records
- Preparing and reviewing accounting entries in line with Italian GAAP and reporting requirements
- Managing account analysis and reconciliations
- Supporting monthly and year-end closing activities
- Supporting budget reconciliation and financial forecasting
- Managing accounting and tax compliance obligations
- Preparing and analysing financial information for management
- Supporting audit activities and ensuring accurate financial documentation
- Ensuring compliance with Italian financial and tax regulations




- Contributing to improvements in accounting processes and best practices
- Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone with:

✅ 4+ years' experience in an accounting position

✅ Strong knowledge of Italian accounting and bookkeeping principles

✅ Good knowledge of Italian tax regulations

✅ Advanced Excel skills and strong Microsoft 365 knowledge

✅ Excellent written and spoken English

✅ Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

✅ The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

✅ A genuine interest in renewable energy, green technology and the energy transition
