You'll be part of a globally distributed UX team that brings together diverse expertise across engineering, graphic design, illustration, 3D modeling, UX, and software development. Our dedicated UI and UX teams partner closely with engineering throughout the product lifecycle, helping build products from early concept through delivery.If you're looking for a place where design craft is respected, collaboration is deep, and your work directly improves sophisticated, real-world software, this is a team where you can grow and make a significant impact.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate polished 2D and 3D icons, glyphs, technical drawings, and other UI artwork for commercial engineering software productsTranslate technical, industrial, and engineering concepts into intuitive,
visually clear icons and artworkApply established visual systems and art direction to produce consistent,high-quality design assetsGather requirements from product teams and stakeholders to understand design needs, workflows, use cases, and constraintCollaborate with product managers, developers, designers, QA testers, field teams, documentation writers, and other stakeholders across multiple internal teamsPresent design rationale clearly and confidently to internal stakeholders and incorporate feedback thoughtfullyQualificationsRequiredValidated experience in traditional art, illustration, and 3D modelingPortfolio demonstrating strong visual craftsmanship, attention to detail, and relevant examples of iconography, illustration, sketching and 2D renderingExamples of problem-solving through ideation using traditional or digital sketching and renderings, as well as personal artwork that shows your unique creativity when there are no restrictions or requirementsProficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and FigmaExperience with Blender or a similar 3D modeling toolAbility to present work clearly, gather requirements, and communicate optimally with multi-functional collaboratorsAdvanced written and verbal communication skills in EnglishWould be helpfulSome background in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or another engineering-related fieldExperience working with technical or engineering-focused productsWHY USAt Siemens Software,
