Role Overview:
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Compliance Attorney to work on a Full-time basis. The role involves providing legal counsel to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions, with a focus on emerging technology sectors. Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing compliance policies, conducting risk assessments, and advising on data protection and privacy laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement compliance frameworks tailored to the client's operational needs and regulatory obligations.
Review and update existing policies and procedures to align with evolving legal and industry standards.
Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps and recommend mitigations.
Provide guidance on cross-border regulatory requirements, particularly in technology and data-driven industries.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and international laws.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD)
degree from an accredited law school with a focus on compliance, corporate law, or regulatory affairs.
Active membership in a state bar association, with at least 3 years of experience in compliance-related legal roles.
Deep knowledge of data privacy laws, such as GDPR, CCPA, or other relevant regulations.
Experience drafting and negotiating compliance policies, contracts, and legal documentation.
Strong analytical skills to interpret complex regulatory texts and apply them to business operations.
