Role Description
The Key Account Manager is a full-time role based in Gorizia, structured as a hybrid position with the possibility to work from home for part of the time. The role is responsible for managing and developing relationships with key retail and distribution partners, ensuring optimal product placement, pricing, and promotional activities. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and executing account plans, monitoring sales performance, analyzing market data, and identifying opportunities for growth within assigned accounts. The Key Account Manager will collaborate closely with internal sales, marketing, and logistics teams to coordinate activities, resolve customer issues, and deliver agreed service levels. The role also involves forecasting,
negotiating annual agreements, and contributing to business development initiatives in line with company strategy.
Qualifications
- Strong Key Accounts and Account Management skills, with experience handling strategic customers in FMCG or a related sector.
- Solid Analytical Skills to interpret sales data, market trends, and performance reports, and to support evidence-based decision-making.
- Customer Service capabilities, including building long-term relationships, managing expectations, and ensuring high satisfaction levels.
- Business Planning skills, such as creating account plans, setting targets, forecasting, and aligning activities with commercial objectives.
- Relevant experience in FMCG distribution, sales, or trade marketing, preferably within the Adriatic region or Italian market.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate across multicultural and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM or ERP systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Fluency in Italian and good command of English; knowledge of additional regional languages is an advantage.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a hybrid setup, with occasional travel to customers and partners as needed.
