About the role
As a Field Service Engineer reporting to the Technical Service manager you will be in charge of delivering a high-level technical support on the assigned BD DS Technical Support related instruments and systems to the customer within the assigned region in order to guarantee customer happiness through an outstanding service and efficient proficiency in reported incidents and requests of the customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Training & Technical Knowledge: Complete all required training and continuous education programs. Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of BD instruments, systems, manuals, and service updates.
- Field Service & Operational Support: Independently perform installations, deinstallations, relocations, certifications (IQ/OQ), repairs, and other service activities in line with customer SLAs. Plan customer visits, coordinate logistics, ensure availability of tools and spare parts, execute services, document results, and verify system performance. Escalate unresolved issues to technical specialists and work toward defined service performance metrics.
- Remote Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues remotely when not handled by the help desk. Escalate complex issues when
