ph3About The Role /h3 /brh3Schedule: 14x14 /h3 /brh3Position Reports To: Chief Engineer /h3 /brpThe successful candidate will be leading a small team of professionals.
Primary tasks include, oversight of the drill and blast teams, short range planner, and dispatch EIT.
Other tasks will include assisting with budget planning, strategic planning and managing projects for the operations, as well as technical support, coaching and mentoring to the Engineers in Training and Junior engineers to meet long-range planning objectives.
/p /brh3Key Responsibilities: /h3 /brul /brliOversee the preparation of Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and LOM Plans /li /br /ul /brul /brliForecast and evaluate costs, engineering, and mine planning data.
/li /br /ul /brul /brliProvide technical direction for the mine related to operations strategy and implementation.
/li /br /ul /brul /brliReview and implement operational plans and design changes.
/li /br /ul /brul /brliReview and action improvements to mining operation performance against plans and budget.
/li /br /ul /brul /brliPrepare monthly cost and performance reports and presentations to support planning results.
/li /br /ul /brul /brliProvide technical support where required.
/li /br /ul /brul /brliMentor and coach EIT's and young engineers, performance evaluation and supervision.
/li /br /ul /brh3Qualifications:
/h3 /brul /brliBachelor's Degree in mining engineering or similar field and eligibility for membership with the PEO.
/li /br /ul /brul /brliOver 7 years of experience in mine engineering in an open pit environment.
/li /br /ul /brul /brliStrong experience in open pit short range planning, drill blast, Wenco and survey.
/li /br /ul /brul /brliMineSight software skill is a must /li /br /ul /brul /brliAttention to detail with strong organizational skills /li /br /ul /brul /brliProven analytical skills and ability to think strategically /li /br /ul /brul /brliExcellent verbal and written communication skills /li /br /ul /brul /brliStrong team and leadership skills /li /br /ul /brul /brliStrong leadership ability is essential /li /br /ul /brh3Compensation /h3 /brpThe anticipated salary range for this position will be between $120,****** - $150,******.
