Overview
Senior Logistics Buyer in Milan leads end-to-end logistics procurement for complex EPCI projects. You'll shape multimodal transport strategies, manage supplier performance, and align procurement with project execution. You'll collaborate with Project Management, Engineering and Operations to ensure reliable service within tight timelines and contribute to energy transition. This is a strategic, global role with tangible impact on large-scale energy projects and supplier qualification.

Responsabilità
Manage end-to-end procurement activities for logistics services in EPCI projects
Lead negotiation for multimodal transport solutions (road, sea, river)
Oversee transport of cable drums and heavy cargo
Coordinate freight forwarding for land and submarine cables
Manage storage and handling at port/onshore and last-mile transport
Develop logistics contracting strategies aligned with schedules and risk plans
Optimize cost structures while preserving service reliability




Monitor supplier performance via KPIs
Handle critical escalations through cross-functional coordination
Ensure alignment between procurement and execution with Project Management, Engineering and Operations
Ensure contractual compliance including insurance, liabilities, delivery terms, and project requirements
Contribute to strategic decision-making for logistics solutions
Lead development and qualification of new logistics suppliers
Requisiti fondamentali
5+ years in logistics procurement
Experience in multimodal and heavy cargo
Knowledge of contractual templates
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
Stakeholder management
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Decision making, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Strong teamwork, results orientation, and ambitious mindset
Fluent in English and Italian
