Role and responsibilities
The Senior Research Manager manages client relationship for complex or key accounts and oversees multiple projects and clients playing a key role in delivering high-quality sensory and consumer research for leading global and local brands.

- Develop and manage key client relationships, acting as a trusted research partner
- Lead complex sensory and consumer research projects from proposal through to insight delivery
- Design robust methodologies and research approaches to address client business objectives
- Translate data into engaging stories, actionable insights, and strategic recommendations
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to SAM's high quality standards
- Support account growth and contribute to achieving commercial targets
- Collaborate with sensory, fieldwork, and data teams to deliver exceptional research outcomes
- Share knowledge and expertise through mentoring, coaching, and training colleagues
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and scientific excellence
Candidate profile:
-
- Higher education with knowledge in market research and/or sensory research
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sensory and consumer research to be able to manage projects independently.
- Knowledge of food and/or cosmetic products, quantitative and qualitative consumer research methodologies, sensory methodologies and statistics. xjncmbx
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Italian
- Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
- Rigorous, responsive and proactive
- Strong organisational and planning skills, that ensure work is effectively prioritised to meet deadlines
