The lower primary (Pre- Kindergarten to grade 3) campus is in San Domenico, Fiesole. The Upper primary campus (Grades 4 6) and Middle School campus (Grades 7-8) are also located in a nearby piazza. The Senior School (Grades 9-12) is in Florence, in a beautiful historical building, less than 2 km away from the Junior school.br/Across all our campuses, courses are taught in English (except for Italian and French), based on the Canada (Ontario) curriculum with preparation, in Italian, for the Italian national exams as a “paritaria” school. Our students work towards gaining the Ontario Secondary School Diploma which is recognized by universities worldwide. We also offer the Liceo delle Scienze Umane at our high school providing an opportunity for our students to gain a dual diploma.br/The Ontario curriculum combines the best of Canadian and International educational practices into proven academic programs aimed at developing students' independent learning, collaboration, communication, and leadership skills. student success and continuous school improvement.As a Primary teacher at the Canadian School of Florence you will play a key role in fulfilling our mission to provide a holistic and engaging education to our primary students. Delivering the Canadian (Ontario) Curriculum, you will plan, implement, and evaluate learning opportunities for your students and work with your colleagues in a positive and constructive manner. /p pReporting to: Head of Primarybr/Other key relationships: Students, families (current or prospective), Learning Support and Student Success, Designated Safeguarding Lead, Well-being Lead and administrative staff. /p h3Teaching and Learning /h3 ul liPromote the ‘mission’ and philosophy of the school, ensuring that children are working towards being true global citizens; /li liBe flexible and adjust to the needs of the school, actively contributing to its development plans and growth; /li liImplement agreed policies and developments; /li liDemonstrate thorough curriculum knowledge, teach, and assess effectively; /li liMeet requirements for the assessment, evaluation, and recording of students’ development; /li liUse the student tracking and monitoring processes to advance children’s learning in line with the school’s aspirations and priorities; /li liTake responsibility for and contribute to professional development; /li liEffectively communicate the school's key messages and values, be an ambassador for our school at all times. /li liPlanning and Classroom Management: /li liOrganise the classroom and learning resources to create a dynamic learning environment; /li liPlan, prepare and present lessons that motivate students and that cater to the range of needs and abilities of the students in the class as well as ensuring the course of study follows ministry curriculum guidelines; /li liMaintain good behaviour management in the classroom, promote a positive attitude to learning; /li liOffer all students equal opportunities to learn and maintain an environment in which no student is exposed to discriminatory behaviour; /li liProvide feedback to administrators and parents/guardians on a student’s progress through regular progress reports, meetings with parents/guardians including daily communication when appropriate; /li liKeep up to date with developments in the subject area,
