Generator Venice stands on the waterfront of the islandof Giudecca, one short stop on the Vapporetto from Piazza San Marco. Thishostel was originally a warehouse, so the building blends history and characterwith contemporary design features.

Inside the Generator Venice hostel you’ll find luxuriousmosaic floors, a glass chandelier and an imposing stone fireplace.

Publicspaces are subtly split into intimate and open-plan areas – all surrounding thebar and café. Every room has a view of either the gardens, Lido, Ampio Canalor the iconic San Marco. Not bad for a hostel, aye?

NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE JOB

- Ensure that the needs of thecustomers have been met and exceeded at each interaction
- At everyopportunity, create a positive impression on the customer thus ensuring thatthey will remember their experience at Generator
- Ensure thebar is always clean, tidy and ready for business
- Ensure thebar is always fully stocked i.e. glasses, ice, garnishes, cocktail mixtures andis ready to trade in
- Ensure thatthere is enough produce and goods available to the customer at all times
- During busyperiods of trade, ensure the bar is maintained to a clean Generator standard,ensuring all tables, floors and equipment are clean at all times
- Monitor thequality of service and the quality of the drinks and cocktails and ensurestandards are high, taking action where required including speaking with theBar Supervisor or F&B; Manager
- To ensurethat the procedure for cash reconciliation is carried out correctly and thefloat always balances in accordance with the cash handling procedures
