### Job Description: Leonardo is one of the strategic industrial partners of the GCAP (Global Combat Air Programme), along with the British BAE Systems and the Japanese Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, aimed at the development and realization of a new generation aerial system, defined as a “system of systems”. Employed for multi-domain operations in defense, the system will feature a “core platform” connected with other peripheral “adjunct” systems, both manned and unmanned. The program, one of the most challenging and futuristic for the aerospace and defense industry, will drive the technological revolution that will characterize the sector over the next fifty years. This challenge aims to strengthen the technological and industrial sovereignty of the countries involved, as it seeks to identify and make available those innovative, enabling technologies that will ensure a generational leap, generating positive returns and economic and social progress for the entire country system, benefiting new generations. The resources who will work within this program will have the opportunity to access a professional growth path in an international and technologically advanced context. Within the Secure Cloud Area, we are looking for a **Cloud Infrastructure Engineer** for our offices in Genoa, Rome, and Naples, to join our team to implement, manage, and optimize scalable and secure cloud infrastructures. **The person will be responsible for the following activities:** * Implementation and management of the most appropriate cloud resources for each project, configuring services and components according to best practices to ensure cost efficiency and high performance. * Deployment and management of complex and/or hybrid cloud infrastructures based on public cloud, ensuring security (integrity, availability, and confidentiality), reliability, and scalability. * Operational integration between cloud solutions and on-premise infrastructures. * Configuration, management, and optimization of systems and services based on public cloud and SaaS services. * Monitoring and maintenance of cloud environments, ensuring high levels of availability, security, and performance. * Continuous collaboration with software developers, system administrators, and security teams for the management and improvement of cloud environments.
* Technical support in the creation of Hybrid Cloud environments, particularly in defense and/or industrial contexts. * Operational management of aspects related to the data lifecycle in cloud environments. **Education:** Degree in Engineering or STEM disciplines or equivalent experience. **Seniority:** Expert/Senior At least 2 years of experience in the IT field with experience in Cloud and/or On-Prem environments, with particular attention to operational and security aspects. **Required Technical Skills** * Experience in implementing and managing cloud environments based on **Landing Zone or multi-account/subscription architectures** (at least 2–3 years of practical experience). * Practical experience with **Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)** approaches, particularly Terraform. * Experience in configuring and managing high availability solutions (Disaster Recovery, High Availability, Business Continuity). **Desired Technical Skills** * Good knowledge of **Identity & Access Management (IAM)** systems in hybrid environments, including multi-factor authentication and centralized identity management. * Good knowledge of network architectures (LAN/WAN) and related configurations in cloud environments. * Operational experience with **container orchestration platforms** (e.g., Kubernetes and equivalent managed services). * Experience in configuring and managing cloud-based and hybrid monitoring solutions. * Experience in managing cloud and hybrid backup and disaster recovery solutions. * Familiarity with **Key Management and encryption solutions** in cloud environments. * Experience in managing and configuring **SaaS collaboration and productivity services** (e.g., productivity suites, email, collaboration tools, device management, ITSM). * Familiarity with **DevOps / DevSecOps** methodologies and Agile environments. **Behavioral Skills** * Good communication and collaboration skills * Teamwork attitude with operational flexibility * Practical and problem-solving oriented approach **Language Skills** * Excellent knowledge of English, both spoken and written (minimum C1 level) **Other (e.g.,
