IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy, is looking for one Post-Doctoral Fellow to join the Eye Repair Lab (https://research.hsr.it/en/divisions/neuroscience/eye-repair-lab/giulio-ferrari.html). The position is generously funded through EU Horizon grants. The research focus of the Eye Repair Lab is represented by the molecular and cellular mechanisms controlling inflammation in highly prevalent ocular surface disorders (such as: keratitis, conjunctivitis, ocular surface burns, etc.).

Our lab was the first to identify neuroinflammation as a key contributor to the onset and maintenance of neovascularization, pain and inflammation in corneal diseases.

Main responsibilities:

- design and execution of experiments (animal models are used)
- participation to the design and drafting of animal experimental protocols
- participation to the design and drafting of human clinical studies

The candidate we are looking for has the following skills:

- a phd on bioscience/cell biology topic
- a solid and documented background in cell biology/biotechnology techniques (prior expertise on mitochondrial biology+animal work is a plus)




- a proactive and problem-solving attitude
- is fluent in English (writing and speaking)
