Senior Product Development Engineer
Passenger Vehicle Wheel End Europe - SKF Automotive Business
The global Product Development team for Passenger Vehicle (PV) Wheel End is responsible for creating solutions that meet tomorrow’s requirements for passenger car wheel applications. We enable our Product Engineering teams by delivering innovative, reliable, and cost-effective technologies that can be confidently applied in customer projects worldwide.
Key responsibilities
• Lead as technical expert cross functional projects
• Contribute to the definition, planning, and execution of the product roadmap
• Identify future market and customer needs
• Explore and evaluate new and emerging technologies, innovations, and opportunities relevant to wheel end applications
• Plan, lead, and execute product development projects from concept to implementation
• Act as a recognized “go-to” expert in defined technical areas by continuously building knowledge and actively sharing it within the engineering community
• Support and grow the intellectual property portfolio by identifying, screening, and protecting innovative ideas
• Coordinate development activities with research institutions, suppliers, customers, and external communities
• Represent the company at customers, conferences, and public events through technical presentations
Requirements
• Strong experience in wheel end bearing engineering (product and/or application-related)
• Good/strong understanding of product design on manufacturing feasibility a
