JOB DESCRIPTION

Within the Merchant Ships Division, Project Management is responsible for managing the development of orders from the offer phase to delivery, involving various functions, both central and plant-based, in order to guarantee, through inter-functional planning, compliance with the budget, delivery times and the quality of the final product.

Within the Project Management Team, the project Procurement Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the project procurement process, ensuring consistency with the ship's program and project budget, supervising the activities of the central and plant functions involved in the purchasing process.
ACTIVITIES

* Ensure compliance with contractual supply requests, verifying any peculiarities that must be included in the purchase specification;
* Develop, in agreement with the project Planner, the supply program based on the Master Plan, standard procurement information (tender times, order issuance times, supply lead time)



and the preliminary engineering program;
* Monitor the progress of the supply program to ensure compliance with deadlines, highlighting critical issues, also based on Planner input (unexecuted tenders, missing specifications, etc.) and acting to resolve them through the contribution of any changes to the program;
* Support the PM in managing supplies through strategic project choices (make or buy), launching specific initiatives, defining constraints on duration and number of suppliers for supplies subject to tender;
* Control the order issuance process: timing of issuance, quality of orders (inclusion of clauses, procedures and required documentation, random checks on ordered quantities) and their value compared to the expected service;
* Monitor the purchase requests issued by the Plant Purchasing Units and authorize the issuance of related orders.
REQUIREMENTS

* Engineering or Economics degree;
