No /p pDuties and Responsibilities Reporting to the Associate Director for the Tutoring Center, the Coordinator leads the management, growth, development, and assessment of the Peer Tutoring and Success Coaching programs. /p pbPeer Tutoring Coordination /b (65%) /p ul liLeads, develops, and assesses the Tutoring Center’s Peer Tutoring program. /li liSupervises, mentors, and provides feedback to the Tutoring Center’s Peer Tutors. /li liCoordinates all undergraduate staff schedules and processes ongoing schedule change needs and exam review session requests. /li liCollaborates with the Associate Director to coordinate recruitment, interviews, and pre-semester and bi-weekly trainings for the Peer Tutors and Supplemental Instruction (SI) leaders. /li liCoordinates and leads tutoring of special cohort programs in Student-Athlete Academic Services and in Scholars Programs, including Achieving College Excellence, the Leadership Scholars Program, and other Scholars Programs. /li liAssists the Associate Director with ongoing development of the SI program and the STEM Learning Center. /li liDevelops weekly attendance reports on the Tutoring Center’s Peer Tutoring, Individual Tutoring, Success Coaching, and SI sessions. /li liLeads assessment initiatives for the Peer Tutoring program. /li liCollaborates with the Associate Director to CRLA -certify SI and Peer Tutoring Programs. /li liLeads the growth and development of partnerships between the Peer Tutoring program and academic departments, such as the Language Learning Resource Center and academic department club tutoring, as well as develops new partnerships and relationships on campus. /li liCollaborates with the Tutoring Center team to market and reach out to students, faculty, staff, and the community regarding programming expansion, Center relations, and constituent education on all Tutoring Center and STEM Learning Center services. /li liRepresents the Tutoring Center during resource fairs for on-campus events. /li liSupervises Tutoring Program Assistants (graduate students) who support the administrative work conducted in the Tutoring Center. /li /ul pbSuccess Coaching Program /b(20%) /p ul liRecruit, train, and supervise Success Coaches (graduate students) /li liEstablish and implement best practices for meeting one-on-one with students in a Success Coaching appointment /li liLead Success Coaches in the design, delivery, and facilitation of Success Strategies workshops /li liDevelop workshop materials, one-on-one coaching materials,
and other resources for the Success Coaching program /li liCoordinate the Success Coaching program’s assessment efforts /li liAs needed, provide one-on-one consultations with students to improve study skills and motivation, address cognitive and non-cognitive success factors, and refer students to appropriate campus resources, while maintaining student records for all success coaching activities and interventions /li liProvide Success Coaching support for Student Accessibility Center, Student-Athlete Academic Services, and students on academic probation. /li /ul pbDivision and Department Responsibilities /b (15%) /p ul liFacilitates one or more sections of UNIV 112: Strategies for Learning, UNIV 114: Bridge to Loyola, and/or UNIV 101/201: First-Year/Transfer Seminar courses each semester. /li liIn collaboration with Associate Director, creates learning outcomes, a comprehensive assessment plan, and a strategic plan for Tutoring Center programs. /li liAssists in developing and maintaining the Tutoring Center website and social media communications. /li liParticipates and supports events and initiatives, including New Student Orientations and Transfer Student Orientations. /li liParticipates in division and university programs, events, and activities, including but not limited to: finals week proctoring, Majors and Minors Fair, and Undergraduate Admission open houses. /li liPerforms related duties as required. /li /ul pMinimum Education and/or Work Experience Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of experience related to learning assistance; master’s degree and knowledge of learning theory and academic support strategies preferred. /p pQualifications /p ul liBachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of experience related to learning assistance; master’s degree and knowledge of learning theory and academic support strategies preferred. /li liSolid understanding of learning theory and academic support strategies and services. /li liExperience developing and implementing student programming at the post-secondary level. /li liStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to competently assess students’ needs and provide appropriate learning assistance. /li liDemonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with faculty, staff, and students in programming efforts and University committee participation. /li liDedication to student success, providing student-centered services in the Ignatian tradition, and University student retention efforts. /li liMust be able to work some evening and weekend hours for Tutoring Center operations and for student and campus events. /li /ul pCertificates/Credentials/Licenses Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of experience related to learning assistance; master’s degree and knowledge of learning theory and academic support strategies preferred.
/p pComputer Skills /p ul liTechnical proficiency in use of computers, software applications such as Microsoft 365 suite of applications and web content management systems. /li liFamiliarity with student information systems ( SIS ); Oracle PeopleSoft is preferred. /li liProficiency in data reporting tools, dashboards, and information retrieval systems. /li liWorking knowledge of student success platforms, appointment scheduling, and case management systems; familiarity EAB Navigate360 and Maxient preferred. /li /ul pSupervisory Responsibilities No Required operation of university owned vehicles No Does this position require direct animal or patient contact?
