You will be responsible to negotiate long-term and short-term transactions with Vendor and Subcontractors. The position is likely to suit a dynamic team player with a ‘can do’ attitude.How you will do itPurchase goods, materials or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets.Negotiate contracts, improved prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methodsIdentify, assess and evaluates suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activitiesEnsure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and contractsExplore alternate sources for goods and materialsManage the process from purchase requisition to Purchase orderContact supplier to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoices issueManage the procurement process of multiple projects through tender process to construction and successful completion.Analysis of quotations,
lead negotiations with prospective Sub-Contractors, managing pre & post tenderMonitoring and reporting of procurement results against budgetManaging pre-order meetingsAssembling and issuing subcontract documentationWhat we look forDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Economics or similar Bachelor and/or MasterDemonstrable a minimum of 3-5 years of experience of working in a similar positionAn understanding of construction, engineering processes, procurement procedures is a pre-requisite of the role, and a good understanding of standard construction forms of contract will be a distinct advantageStrong negotiation and communication skills are prerequisiteWillingness to lead by example, with a strong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work under pressure, whilst ensuring deadlines are metFluent in English and Italian, both written and spokenComputer literacy is essential, particularly with MS Word and Excel.Our benefitsImagine a career that perpetually stretches your capabilities. The final package will reflect your experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
