No /ph3Duties and Responsibilities /h3pReporting to the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications, this position will be responsible for serving as the sports communication contact for assigned athletic programs responsible for but not limited to: /pulliGame notes, working competitions, weekly reports/player of the week nominations, releases/stories, team social media accounts, and working directly with assigned sport coaches. /liliTravel may be required for select away games and championships. /liliAssist in home event game management as it pertains to media, communications, statistics, and content creation. /liliWork closely with Loyola’s Office of University Marketing and Communications to ensure consistent use of University identity/brand identity and to collaborate on story items and/or initiatives that have potential scope beyond Athletics. /liliAssist in content creation in an effort to elevate the brand and awareness of sport programs.ulliContent may include written story, photography, video clips and highlights, and other social media content. /li /ul /liliOther duties as assigned. /li /ulh3Minimum Education and/or Work Experience /h3ulliBachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, sport management or a related field. /liliMinimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an athletics communications office. /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3pDemonstrated experience in athletics communications,



experience with producing and managing the design, layout, content and flow of multiple publications for multiple platforms (web, e-mail, podcasts, digital audio video, digital photography, graphics, social media and print)Work collaboratively with other external relations and digital/creative media staff (e.g. marketing, video, social media) on campaigns and projects.
