h3Job Summary /h3pThe Dental Assistant assists the dentist during examinations and treatments of patients by preparing and sterilizing equipment, providing assistance to patients, and maintaining records. The Dental Assistant also provides support for front office duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, and filing insurance claims. /ph3Job Responsibilities /h3ulliPrepare treatment rooms for patient exams and procedures. /liliSterilize instruments in accordance with infection control policies and guidelines. /liliMaintain patient medical records according to HIPAA regulations. /liliTake x-rays and intraoral photographs under supervision of the dentist. /liliProvide assistance to patients during exams and procedures. /liliSchedule appointments and answer phone calls.



/liliFile insurance claims and collect payments. /liliMaintain inventory of supplies and equipment. /li /ulh3Job Qualifications /h3ulliHigh school diploma or equivalent. /liliCompletion of a dental assisting program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). /liliCurrent certification in CPR and first aid. /liliAbility to pass a background check and drug screen. /liliExcellent communication skills. /liliProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. /liliKnowledge of dental terminology and procedures. /liliExperience with electronic health record systems. /li /ul #J-18808-Ljbffr
