Don't miss your chance to make an impact! /ppWe are looking for motivated Junior tool design engineers.In this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of composite tooling, including patterns, moulds, jigs, fixtures and manufacturing aids, to support the production of F1 car components.The role focuses exclusively on tooling solutions, working in parallel with component designers to enable efficient, high‑quality, and repeatable manufacturing processes /ph3COMPOSITE TOOL DESIGN /h3pDesign and develop composite tooling solutions, including patterns, moulds, bonding jigs, machining fixtures, lamination tools and direct moulds, to support the manufacture of F1 car components pit equipment. /ppTranslate component design definitions into robust, efficient and manufacturable tooling strategies, ensuring repeatability, accuracy and quality in production. /ppWork in close collaboration with Composite and Mechanical Design Engineers to enable parallel progression of component and tooling design, reducing overall concept‑to‑release lead times. /ppAct as the technical owner of tooling design, ensuring solutions are optimised for: manufacturability, ease of use in production, dimensional control and repeatability, durability and lifecycle performance /ppDrive standardisation and reuse of tooling concepts, components and methodologies, contributing to improved consistency, reduced rework and more efficient decision‑making. /ppCollaborate closely with Production, CAD/CAM and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure tooling designs are aligned with manufacturing processes, machine capabilities and factory constraints. /ppUnder supervision of leadership and more senior designers, ensure tooling designs are fully documented and released in line with project requirements, including clear definition of: manufacturing intent, assembly and usage requirements , inspection and validation criteria. /ppIdentify and resolve tooling‑related issues arising during manufacture, build and part production,



ensuring timely feedback and implementation of corrective actions. /ppEstablish and maintain strong feedback loops from production and inspection, using lessons learned to continuously improve tooling design quality and efficiency. /ppSupport the development of tooling design standards, best practices and design rules (DORs) within the tooling team. /ppContribute to the reduction of tooling lead time and overall programme risk by proactively managing workload, identifying critical paths and prioritising key deliverables in agreement and with guidance from the Line Manager. /ppMaintain effective and collaborative communication across all stakeholders, ensuring clear handover of tooling designs into production and alignment with project timing and objectives. /ppDemonstrate flexibility and commitment to delivery, supporting both planned development activities and urgent manufacturing requirements as needed. /ph3What We Offer /h3pWorkinginayoung,collaborativeandinternationalenvironment. /ppTailoredtraining. /ppCompanyEvents/Briefings. /ppOnsiteGym. /ppBonusscheme. /ppAnnualsalaryreviewprocess. /ppMealTickets. /ppFreeadditionalhealthinsurance. /ppVisa Cash App RB F1 Team is an equal opportunities employer, we will evaluate applications from all members of society irrespective of age, sex, sexual orientation, race, religion or belief. /ppUniversity degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field. /ppPrevious working or Formula SAE experience in tooling design for composite manufacturing, with a proven track record of delivering moulds, patterns, jigs, fixtures and lamination tooling solutions. /ppStrong academic knowledge of composite materials and manufacturing processes, including layup, curing, bonding, machining and assembly, with the ability to apply this knowledge to the design of robust and efficient tooling. /ppGood understanding of tooling design principles, including dimensional control, tolerancing, material selection,



durability and lifecycle considerations, and the impact of tooling on part quality and repeatability. /ppGood understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA), with the ability to translate component design intent into practical, manufacturable tooling solutions. /ppProficiency in CAD design using Siemens NX; CATIA or similar CAD systems are acceptable although less preferred. /ppFamiliarity with CAD/CAM integration and manufacturing workflows, including interaction with CNC machining, inspection processes and production environments. /ppStrong problem‑solving skills, with a focus on identifying and resolving tooling and manufacturing challenges, and delivering practical, high‑quality engineering solutions. /ppAbility to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams, including Composite and Mechanical Design Engineers, Production, CAD/CAM and suppliers, ensuring effective communication and smooth transfer of tooling designs into manufacture. /ppAbility to work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales, managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. /ppHigh level of attention to detail and commitment to quality, ensuring tooling designs are accurate, complete and fit for purpose. /ppInitiative and a continuous improvement mindset, contributing to the development of tooling standards, best practices and more efficient ways of working. /ppFlexible, proactive and “can‑do” attitude, with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements and support urgent manufacturing needs when required. /ppHave a positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and fast‑paced environment. /ppProficiency in both English and Italian (written and spoken). /ppIn line with pay transparency regulations (Legislative Decree 96/2026), the minimum fixed salary for this role is the contractual minimum set by the National Collective Labour Agreement for the Metalworking Industry (Federmeccanica/Assistal) for classification level C3. We specify that the above mentioned level is a minimum threshold and does not correspond to the overall compensation package, which is determined by objective, measurable and gender‑neutral criteria, being significantly higher than the contractual minimum indicated. /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
