We are appointing our Chief Technology Officer: a leadership figure with a proven track record in growing technology organisations, entrusted with defining the technology vision, product architecture and AI strategy, with direct accountability to the founders.

/li /brliBuild and lead the engineering organisation: talent selection, team structure, technical culture and professional development.
/li /brliGovern the architecture, resilience, security and scalability of the ecosystem's growing AI-native products.
/li /brliSet the AI strategy across products — LLMs, multi-provider orchestration, agentic AI — with a medium-term outlook.
/li /brliExercise decision leadership on technology choices, build-vs-buy decisions and technical investments, balancing execution speed with sustainability.
/li /br /ul /brh3RESPONSIBILITIES /h3 /brul /brliLeadership of the engineering organisation: priorities, delivery capacity and people development, on-site and remote.
/li /brliEnd-to-end architecture ownership: frontend, backend, microservices and Azure infrastructure.
/li /brliGovernance of AI integrations and the internal multi-provider orchestrator.
/li /brliTechnical roadmap, capacity planning, estimations and continuous alignment with founders and product.
/li /brliDefinition of engineering standards: code quality and security, strategic reviews and release processes.
/li /brliManagement of Azure infrastructure (Container Apps, managed PostgreSQL with pgvector, Blob Storage) and CI/CD pipelines.
/li /brliDaily collaboration with the founders at the Padova office, with an active role in strategic product decisions.




/li /br /ul /brh3THE PROFILE /h3 /brul /brliEstablished track record as CTO or Head of Engineering in scaling start-ups or scale-ups.
/li /brliProven experience building and leading engineering organisations, on-site and remote.
/li /brliDeep command of the TypeScript/Node.js/React stack and PostgreSQL.
/li /brliHands-on experience in the AI domain: Anthropic, OpenAI, orchestrators, agentic AI.
/li /brliExperience with B2B AI-native products or regulated environments.
/li /brliExcellent command of the English language.
/li /brliAvailability to work on-site at P49's Padova office, in close contact with the founders.
/li /brliDistinguishing assets: Python/FastAPI, pgvector, Microsoft Azure, prior experience with B2B SaaS products.
/li /br /ul /brh3TECH STACK /h3 /brul /brliFrontend: React 18, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS + shadcn/ui, TanStack Query, React Router, React Hook Form + Zod, i18next, TipTap, Recharts.
/li /brliBackend: Node.js 20, strict-mode TypeScript, Hono, Drizzle ORM, PostgreSQL, Zod, JWT (jose), WebSocket, Stripe, SSE.
/li /brliInfrastructure: Microsoft Azure (Container Apps, managed PostgreSQL with pgvector, Blob Storage), multi-stage Docker, GitHub Actions.
/li /brliAI: direct integration with Anthropic (Claude) through an internal multi-provider orchestrator, ready for additional providers.
/li /brliPython microservices (adjacent area): FastAPI, Docling for OCR, Presidio + spaCy for PII anonymization, local embeddings with pgvector.
/li /brliQuality: Vitest, ESLint, Prettier, automated architectural rules on layer boundaries.
/li /br /ul /brh3CONTRACT /h3 /brpPermanent, full-time contract, on-site at P49's Padova office.
Compensation commensurate with the candidate's level of experience, defined at the end of the selection process.
The offer includes a milestone-based stock option plan with vesting, consistent with a leadership role.
The selection process includes interviews with the founders and a technical-strategic deep dive.
