Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Set up and manage rack infrastructure for Broadband and Connectivity testing environments.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment and network components.
• Design and optimize laboratory and rack layouts to maximize:
o Space utilization
o Accessibility
o Safety
o Operational efficiency
• Manage equipment placement, rack configuration, cabling, and power management.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including:
o Infrastructure setup guides
o Network diagrams
o Asset inventories
o Operational procedures
o Lab configuration documentation
• Use collaboration and project management tools such as Confluence and Jira for:
o Documentation
o Task tracking
o Issue management
o Project coordination
• Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to understand lab infrastructure requirements.
• Support equipment deployment, installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory standards and infrastructure best practices.
• Maintain proper standards for:
o Cabling
o Power management
o Equipment placement
o Rack organization
o Infrastructure governance
• Support continuous improvement of lab infrastructure and operational processes.
Required Skills & Experience
• Experience in lab infrastructure, test environment setup, network infrastructure, or rack infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with rack installation and equipment deployment.
• Good understanding of network components and connectivity infrastructure.
• Experience with cabling, power management,



equipment placement, and rack layouts.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation and network diagrams.
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence or similar collaboration/project management tools.
• Ability to coordinate with engineering, testing, and operations teams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work 5 days onsite in Milan, Italy.
Preferred Experience
• Experience working in Broadband, Connectivity, Telecom, Networking, or Test Labs.
• Experience managing large-scale laboratory/test environments.
• Knowledge of network testing environments and related equipment.
• Experience with infrastructure governance and lab standards.
• Experience working in cross-functional engineering environments.
