/p pEvery claim that enters Liablix goes through a complex process: photos, documents and accident data pass through computer vision models, physics simulations and 3D reconstructions, to become reports with legal value for insurance companies, experts and forensic doctors.
We are looking for a Founding Backend Engineer who will design the core systems that orchestrate all of this, and who will have full responsibility for them as the company grows 10x.
/p h3What you'll do /h3 ul lipDesign and manage the architecture of our platform: APIs, data model and services underlying the web app, mobile app and B2B integrations.
/p /li lipBuild the orchestration layer that connects user uploads to our AI and simulation pipelines: job queues, asynchronous processing, retries and long-running GPU workloads.
/p /li lipDesign integrations with the claims management systems of insurance companies and partners (REST APIs, webhooks, batch imports), to embed Liablix into real workflows.
/p /li lipProperly model and store sensitive insurance data: multi-tenancy,
permissions, audit trails and GDPR-compliant data management.
/p /li lipWork side by side with ML, simulation and mobile engineers to turn research prototypes into reliable production features.
/p /li lipDefine the team's engineering standards: code quality, testing, code review and documentation.
/p /li /ul h3What we're looking for /h3 ul lipAt least 4 years of experience in backend roles, ideally in fast-growing product companies.
/p /li lipExcellent command of Python (FastAPI, Django or similar) and solid experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL).
/p /li lipExperience designing scalable APIs and distributed systems: message queues, asynchronous workers, caching, event-driven architectures.
/p /li lipExperience integrating or serving ML models in production is a strong plus.
/p /li lipSolid knowledge of security fundamentals and sensitive data management.
/p /li lipProduct mindset: you care about what the user gets, not just how elegant the code is.
/p /li lipBeing a genius is a strong plus.

/p /li lipCompetitive compensation (gross annual salary): €55,000 - €65,000 per year.
/p /li lipEquity: a significant stake (approximately 0.3% - 0.5%)
in stock options with standard 4-year vesting (1-year cliff).
Thanks to the innovative startup tax regime, the options are exempt from income tax and you only pay capital gains tax at the time of sale.
