In Italy, dnata provides ground handling activities to airlines through passenger services, ramp operations, baggage assistance and cargo services at Milano Linate, Milano Malpensa and Roma Fiumicino airports.
As a Quality Manager, you will oversee certification and compliance across Airport Operations Italy, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, security and regulatory requirements. You will maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), monitor operational compliance, manage non-conformities and drive continuous improvement across airport operations.
This role is based in Italy (either Rome or Milan stations).
In this role, you will
- Develop, maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS), implementing the Quality Policy across all functions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, company, ISAGO/ISO, aviation and airport requirements.
- Lead Quality Assurance and Quality Control through audits, inspections,
monitoring and process reviews, aligned with the Global Quality Assurance Audit Programme.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, reporting outcomes, risks and recommendations to senior management.
- Manage non-conformities, findings, corrective and preventive actions through dnatahub Issue and Action Management, ensuring timely closure.
- Monitor performance indicators, incidents and trends to identify risks and drive continuous improvement in quality, safety, security and environmental performance.
- Support the achievement and maintenance of company certifications, including ISO standards.
- Act as the key quality contact for customers, regulators, airport authorities and corporate stakeholders, supporting compliance reviews and quality forums.
- Lead by example, consistently demonstrating dnata’s Vision, Mission, Values and safety behaviours while promoting a respectful and inclusive culture.
Qualification To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing quality systems, audits, compliance programmes and continuous improvement initiatives within airport, airline or ground handling operations.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), auditing principles, aviation regulations and industry standards.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence effectively.
- Excellent planning, analytical and time management skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across functions.
- Fluency in English and Italian is mandatory.
You’ll have an edge if you have
- ISO 9001, another relevant management system standard (e.g.
ISO14001, 45001) or equivalent certification.
