Job Description

Certified Lymphedema Occupational Therapist

Evaluates, administers and directs the administration of therapeutic procedures utilized in physical medicine and rehabilitation, as prescribed by a referring practitioner. Establishes goals of occupational therapy and reassess this patient's progress at regular, timely intervals, supporting findings with appropriate documentation. Assesses and treats speech and language disorders and impairments. Conducts evaluations of an individual's speech and language skills using relevant diagnostic materials and tools. Develops treatment plans that utilize appropriate intervention approaches, strategies,



and materials. Establishes treatment priorities that include advising, educating, and counseling. Completes required documentation to record assessment and progress. Collaborates with physicians, family members, and other clinical providers to provide effective therapies. May direct support staff in assisting with treatment.

Position Type: This position is an outpatient care position.

Education: Degree in occupational therapy from an accredited school.

Experience: One year prior experience preferred. New graduates acceptable.

Licenses/Certificates: Occupational Therapist South Carolina License. AHA BLS or equivalent certification required. LymphedemaOccupationalTherapist certification required.
