We are currently looking for an Engineering Team Leader in Italy.This role offers the opportunity to lead a small, high‐performing engineering team while actively contributing to product development. Lead and manage a team of 3–5 engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and constructive feedbackAct as the spokesperson for the team, ensuring strong team dynamics and a supportive, high‐performance cultureParticipate in product development, contributing actively alongside the team while dedicating ~30% of time to leadership responsibilitiesOversee hiring processes, onboarding, and career development for team membersFoster continuous improvement in engineering practices, workflows, and collaborationPromote alignment with organizational values, team goals, and broader engineering strategiesSupport cross‐functional collaboration with product, design, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient execution and delivery
Requirements
Proven experience managing an engineering team of at least 2 peopleStrong backend development expertise,
ideally with Elixir/Phoenix or comparable technologiesSolid knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and modern development workflowsExcellent communication skills and ability to inspire confidence in the teamStrong understanding of team dynamics and ability to cultivate a collaborative environmentHighly organized with attention to detail and focus on efficient processesCommitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and fostering a people‐first cultureAmbitious, proactive, and capable of balancing technical and leadership responsibilities
