You will play a crucial role in the electrical design, building, and testing of complete structural battery modules, unlocking the full potential of Volta's load-bearing cells. /p pYou’ll work in a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating closely with the cell development team and the mechanical team to tackle complex challenges and integrate these worlds into high-performance energy storage systems for demanding applications. /p pYou will be an advocate for Volta Structural Energy’s unique structural battery technology, driving innovation and advancing our expertise. /p ul libDesign structural battery modules /b across four key levels:br/ ul libattery module topology, overall functional design, and appearance; /li liModule compatibilization with target applications; /li licell wiring and integration, targeting reliability and efficiency, /li liBattery Management System (BMS) design, integration and communication protocol development. /li /ul /li liCollaborate with the CTO, product development team, and cell engineers to create cohesive designs that meet performance, safety, and manufacturability requirements.
/li liDefine testing protocols for module performance, safety, and durability. /li liPerform simulations and experiments to validate design concepts and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., UL, IEC, ISO). /li liAnalyze and resolve issues identified during testing and production. /li liParticipate in the bscale-up /b process from prototype to full-scale production. /li liDevelop and maintain documentation related to product development, procedures and testing. /li /ul pbStay updated /b on the latest advancements in battery technology and aerospace applications and deliver adoption plans of promising prospects. /p h3who you are /h3 ul li3+ years of experience in battery system design /li liExperience with PCB design and embedded systems /li liProven experience in structural and electrical design and CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar). /li liHands-on experience with BMS hardware and software development, including protocols such as CAN, SPI, or I2C. /li liFamiliarity with battery bsafety standards /b and bcertification processes /b. /li liKnowledge of battery testing methods and data analysis. /li /ul h3preferred /h3 ul liProficiency in thermal and structural simulations (e.g., ABAQUS, ANSYS, COMSOL, or similar). /li liFamiliarity with aerospace industry standards /li liExcellent communication and proactive attitude /li /ul pVolta Structural Energy delivers high-performance energy solutions with greater flexibility and efficiency. /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
