Introduction to the Team
Expedia Technology teams partner with our Product teams to create innovative products, services, and tools that deliver high-quality experiences for travelers, partners, and employees. A singular technology platform powered by data and machine learning provides secure, differentiated,
and personalized experiences that build loyalty and traveler satisfaction.
In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support reliable software using Kotlin or Java.
- Deliver well-scoped features end to end, from requirements clarification and technical design through production validation.
- Build and consume REST and GraphQL APIs and work with relevant data stores.
- Contribute to loyalty platform services and traveler-facing experiences across the full journey.
- Apply object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, SOLID principles, and appropriate design patterns.
- Write unit, integration, and component-level tests and contribute to continuous integration and delivery.
- Instrument services with meaningful logs, metrics, alerts, and dashboards.
- Investigate production issues, participate in operational support rotations, and resolve defects within established service expectations.
