pHHLA PLT Italy is a multipurpose maritime terminal started in 2021, located in the middle of the fast-growing North Adriatic market. Here, the Expansion Project Team, carried out by the company Logistica Giuliana, is planning and executing a game changer phased project aiming to integrate the current facility into a state-of-the-art container and Ro-Ro terminal, making use of the most advanced technologies and expertise. /p h3Safety Engineer (Expansion Project) /h3 pTrieste, Via degli Alti Forni snc. /p pHHLA PLT Italy S.r.l. /p pEngineering /p pAs part of our Expansion Project, the Safety Engineer will play a key role in designing a new automated terminal. Your focus will be on machinery safety and compliance with the European Machinery Directive. You will be responsible for developing and implementing safety standards. This includes conducting risk assessments, ensuring all equipment meets regulatory standards, and integrating essential safety features into the terminal's design. Your expertise will guide compliance with safety regulations and through collaboration with engineering teams, you will help to create a safe and efficient environment in our innovative port automation project. /p h3Scope of work key responsibilities /h3 ul lipDefine a concept for ensuring machinery safety in a complex environment where efficiency and safety go hand in hand. /p /li lipWork with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders to establish a compliant terminal infrastructure over the entire life cycle. /p /li lipConduct risk assessments and safety audits for automated port operations.



/p /li lipEfficiently coordinate safety related topics between internal departments of Logistica Giuliana and HHLA such as Operations, Asset, Equipment, IT Automation, Procurement. /p /li lipAnticipate potential challenges within the area of expertise and mitigate those risks. /p /li /ul h3What you bring /h3 ul lipGood English (Italian and German are a plus) /p /li lipExperience (+3 years) in machinery safety and conformity design /p /li lipDegree in Engineering or equivalent experience /p /li lipExperience in industrial, automated, logistics, manufacturing, intralogistics, port, or heavy infrastructure environments /p /li lipUnderstanding of Port Terminals (highly preferred) /p /li lipKnowledge of functional safety principles, machinery risk assessment methodologies, and CE conformity processes /p /li lipExperience working within multidisciplinary engineering or EPC projects is considered a strong advantage /p /li lipAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously /p /li lipExcellent project management skills /p /li lipChampion Safety:
